I Do Not Spoil My Dogs...

  • Dakota will spit out a treat because it is the wrong flavor.
  • Jimbo will cry when another dog is on his favorite bed.
  • Jimbo will squeeze himself next to another dog on his favorite bed.
  • There are times when there is no room for me on my bed.
  • I have four dog beds in my bedroom.
  • I have dogs that prefer to sleep rather than go out to relieve themselves.
  • I have dogs that prefer sleep instead of eating a treat.
  • My dogs wake up in the morning 1 hour after me.
  • I have a dog that waits until I pick up the doggie droppings in the yard before he will go.
  • Dakota will sniff my fingers when I offer her a treat. She is checking to see if I have something better.
  • Some of the dogs will refuse their breakfast if it is too early in the morning.
  • Jimbo wants his breakfast outside in the middle of the backyard.
  • Dakota will only eat her dinner if the room's light is on.
  • Darryl will only eat large dog biscuits in the backyard.
  • If I don't place Jazzy's food bowl in the correct location she will pick it up and move it herself.
  • Dakota will only eat her breakfast if I place it beside her on her bed.
  • Jimbo will not take a dog biscuit from my hand, instead he will point his nose downward indicating where I should place the treat.
  • I have two "seatings" for dinner because Jimbo will only eat when he is alone.
  • All of my dogs have chosen their preferred locations in the back of my SUV.
  • When we are at the Friends of Greyhounds dog park my dogs will not get in the car to go home unless we first visit the office.
  • Dakota will not eat the same flavor of food for two meals in a row.
  • When I call Cole to the kitchen to give him medicine to prevent seizures 2 or 3 other dogs show up to get a treat.
  • Cole will stand in the crate and whine when he is hungry.
  • When Cole is in the Friends of Greyhounds' office, he will pace and whine for hours because another dog is on "his" bed.
  • When I call the dogs to the kitchen to get a treat, Jimbo will come and when he sees the treat he will run to the bedroom and wait for me to bring it to him.

I don't spoil my dogs because there is nothing left to spoil.
